Survey for Disabled Social Tenants/Applicants

Tai Pawb are preparing a guide for local authorities and housing providers on Accessible Housing Registers and as such we need to hear the views of social tenants who live in or have applied for accessible/adapted social housing.
 
If you are a disabled tenant or applicant for accessible social housing and would like to share your experiences, please take 10 minutes to complete our survey here: www.taipawb.org/survey
 
If you are a social housing provider, local authority or another service provider, we would be extremely grateful if you could forward this invitation to your tenants or service users.
 
We are keen to find out more about people’s expectations and experiences of accessible housing allocation. We will also be working with housing providers to feed into our guide at a later stage.

Abolition of the Right to Buy

Abolition of the Right to Buy

The Right to Buy and Right to Acquire will end for all Council and Housing Association tenants on 26 January 2019.

 

Early abolition on new homes only 

The Right to Buy, Right to Acquire and Preserved Right to Buy will end for “new homes” only on 24 March 2018. A “new home” is one which has not been let as social housing for the six months before 24 March 2018, for example a new build property, or a home that has been recently acquired by the landlord.

There are certain exceptions if you are forced to move into a “new home”, for example if you are moved due to subsidence or a clearance scheme.  Ask your landlord for further information if you are in this situation.

Applications to buy your home 

If wish to exercise a right to buy your home, you can submit your application up to, and including, 25 January 2019. Any application made after this date will not be accepted.

Diddymu'r Hawl i Brynu

Bydd yr Hawl i Brynu a'r Hawl i Gaffael yn dod i ben ar gyfer holl denantiaid y Cyngor a'r Gymdeithas Tai ar 26 Ionawr 2019.

 

Diddymu'n gynnar ar gartrefi newydd yn unig

Bydd yr Hawl i Brynu, yr Hawl i Gaffael a'r Hawl i Brynu a Gadwyd yn dod i ben ar gyfer "cartrefi newydd" yn unig ar 24 Mawrth 2018. Mae "cartref newydd" yn un na chafodd ei osod fel tŷ cymdeithasol am y chwe mis cyn 24 Mawrth 2018, er enghraifft eiddo a adeiladwyd o'r newydd, neu gartref sydd wedi cael ei brynu gan y landlord yn ddiweddar.

Mae yna rai eithriadau os cewch eich gorfodi i symud i mewn i "gartref newydd", er enghraifft os ydych chi'n cael eich symud o ganlyniad i ymsuddiant neu gynllun clirio.  Gofynnwch i'ch landlord am ragor o wybodaeth os ydych chi yn y sefyllfa hon.
