If you have not done so already we recommend you complete the Housing Options Wizard before applying for social housing. This will help you decide if social housing is the right option for you.
To apply for social housing you will need to complete an application form by logging to your account. You will also need to complete the same form to apply for low cost homeownership and intermediate renting.
Before completing an application form you will need to make sure that you have the following information about you and other people to be rehoused with you:
National Insurance number
previous address history for at least the last 7 years including dates
employment history
local connection details to the Caerphilly county borough
details about income, savings and assets
where you would like to live
details about any medical or mental health conditions or disabilities, if applicable
If you need access a computer to complete your housing application form they are available at any of our libraries. Although booking is not essential we recommend that you book a computer in advance by contacting the library. Free Wi-Fi access is available in a limited number of the libraries.
To access the libraries, if you haven’t done so already, you will need to sign up to the Caerphilly Smart Card, which can take place at any of the council’s libraries or leisure centres or completing an online application. To sign up you will need proof of identity and address.
